Keepin’ it loose

2 August, 2014. Sketched on location at The Crossroads Arts District, Kansas City, Missouri. The watercolor washes were loosely brushed in later on at home, after the Noodler’s ink had fully cured and dried.

Stupidly, I didn’t think to get a snapshot of the gesture drawing done in graphite. Fortunately, some of it can be seen in the sketch on the far left. The middle shows the sketch after a quick clean up with kneaded eraser, and the version on the right was done at home, after the ink was dry enough to allow me to work in some very loose washes of color.
